Effect of cooling water on laser marking machine

Many manufacturers of laser marking machines should know that, except for the fiber laser marking machine, which uses air cooling, other laser marking machines use water cooling. The marking machine manufacturers are here to explain to customers the importance of water cooling for laser marking machines.

The water-cooled laser marking machine has very high requirements for water. Without water, the laser marking machine cannot operate. Even the machine needs to be turned on first, as long as other switches are turned on when the water flows. However, if someone is dirty, it is easy to burn out the parts. The module is the most vulnerable to burn out, because there are 24 groups of very small holes in the module that need to have water flowing. If there is dirt, the water hole will be blocked as soon as it gets in. Every hole blocked, the laser will be small. If there are many blocks, the module will be directly burned out, and the same is true for the Q head.

First, let's talk about the effect of cooling water on Q head. The Q head is a part for laser processing. Its temperature is also a little high during operation. Generally, the Q-head cannot be burnt out due to instantaneous water free operation. However, if the Q head works without water for a long time (generally within 3 seconds), it is also easy to burn out. If the Q head is burnt out, it will cost thousands of yuan. Next, let's talk about the impact of impure and unclean cooling water on the laser marking machine. The impure cooling water means that the cooling water has sediment after being used for a long time, or there is something else in the water tank due to improper protection. First, let's talk about the sediment of cooling water. It is generally recommended to use distilled water or purified water as the cooling water of the laser marking machine, but many customers use mineral water. Mineral water contains a variety of minerals, which will slowly precipitate a substance when used for a long time. If this material is too much, it will be used in the refrigeration system because water will pass through the krypton lamp, laser rod and Q head. If the water quality is poor, a ring will be formed around the laser rod, krypton lamp and Q head. When there are more deposits on the surface of krypton lamp and laser rod, the laser intensity must be greatly affected. Because the laser is refracted in the cavity and shot through the laser rod. The cleaner the cavity, the better the light intensity. But the quality of the laser is not only determined by a part of the cavity. Let's see that if the sediment accumulates too much in the Q head, it will cause a water shutoff to the Q head. In this way, the Q head is easy to burn out.

Then we will explain the role of water on the cavity. Because there are krypton lamps and laser rods in the chamber, the krypton lamps work through 220V alternating current. Krypton lamp is the light source of laser marking machine. The temperature when it works is quite high. If there is no cooling water for the krypton lamp to cool in a moment when it is working. Then the krypton lamp will explode. Generally, when there is no water, the lamp explosion is very serious. Basically, things in the cavity, such as laser rods and glass tubes, are blown to pieces. In that case, thousands or even thousands of pieces will be damaged. Therefore, when you turn on the machine to light up, you must pay attention to that the return water in the circulating water of the laser marking machine must be unblocked before lighting up. When there is water to cool the cavity, the explosion of the laser marking machine is generally caused by the aging of the krypton lamp. In this case, the burst lamp found is generally slight. Because when there is water, the impact of water on the lamp has a great buffer force, that is, when there is water to cool the lamp, the force generated by the lamp is greatly reduced.
